Steps
- Find a good, sturdy rock. If
you are a beginner, start with a smaller rock. Then as you get better, you
can climb larger rocks.
- Grasp the rock firmly with
your hands, and pull your feet up. Always have a good grip on the rock.
- Slowly, but steadily climb up
the rock. Pull you legs up as you grasp different places. Do not climb too
fast! You could get hurt.
- Once you get to the top, rest
for a little bit and catch your breath. Look at the beautiful view.
- Climb down once you are
ready. Make sure you are facing the rock when climbing down.
Tips
- Wear good,gripping shoes,
like hiking boots. You should also wear long pants, gloves, and if the
weather is hot and sunny, a hat and sunglasses.
- Wear sunscreen if the weather
permits!
- Do not force yourself when
climbing if you are getting tired. Just stop for a minute.
- Always climb with somebody,
so if someone gets hurt, the other person can go fetch help.
- Bring a water bottle too!

- Do not climb very fast! You
could fall and injure yourself.
- When looking at the view, do
not lean forward too much. You can fall. It is okay if you lean forward
just a little bit.
